Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Fearless Mike! (or an Adventure in IKEA Installation Services)
I have a shocking revelation to make. I don’t have a driving licence! “But how do you survive?!” I hear you ask. A lot of public transport, cabs and a fairly understanding husband. I say fairly, because there are certain places he’s not entirely fond of taking me: IKEA - any of them, any time, due to the sheer size/scale/confusion/distance from home. Chips have to be provided as payment at an absolute minimum Our 2nd nearest industrial estate - Traffic nightmare but contains all the best stores including John Lewis at Home. Again, all kinds of favours need to ... read more
Fifty Shades of Gray?
You have been warned. If you disagree, check out my first post here! This is about a good spanking...of the English language. I do not profess to be an expert in my mother tongue, no one truly is. But I do have to have a little language-related rant. The prevalence of the misspelling of the colour grey is so vast right now, I just had to say something. Fabrics you need in your life
I am not a fan of cutesy, floral fabrics. Never have been. Especially when my Mum opted for blue curtains with roses on, back in the 90s when I was firmly in my 'wear black everything with doc martens at all times' phase. Times have changed though. I do appreciate colour now, but frumpy prints can still go to hell. With this in mind, I happened to stumble upon the absolutely bloody amazing N & N Wares. Created by Emma Jeffs and printed in good old blighty, these fabrics awesome, colourful and futuristic! If you like these fabulous fabrics and need more ... read more

I used to use this old fashioned thing called Twitter once upon a time, but then Pinterest came along and told me I could express my feelings and ideas with pictures. Amazing right?! I know. I wish I'd thought of it too. Plus I'm lazy, so it totally works. ... read more

Time to Focus
I've recently gone through a huge life change. Don't worry, I'm not going to spill my guts here but I am going to try and make plans for the future. I figured that if I publish my plans to the world, I've got to follow them right?! Focus! On everything. Especially work, fun, family, health...well I did say everything. Plan a lot of trips. Particularly looking forward to going to Ecuador and Costa Rica in January with my best buddy The Don. Also absolutely have to go to the Christmas markets in Germany which I've never done and I have some lovely friends there to ... read more
